New Company Pensions rules

In the next two years or so most businesses will have to set up a company pension scheme. The office of The Pensions Regulator will be contacting all employers to inform them of the date from which they will be required to do so.

From that date all eligible employees will have to be automatically enrolled in a the pension scheme and employers will have to make a contribution.

Employers who already have a pension scheme will need to check that it is compliant with the new rules.

The administration involved will be time consuming. Penalties will be charged for non-compliant employers.
